HSIAO-LING LIN

A native of Taiwan, pianist Hsiao-Ling Lin enjoys an active performing career as a collaborative pianist. Her performances have been broadcasted live over the TV and radio stations, and she has collaborated in recitals with many distinguished artists in recitals and concerts.
Dr. Lin has held staff pianist positions at Meadowmount School for Strings in New York, Musicorda in Massachusetts, the International Festival-Institute at Round Top, the Boston Conservatory, the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, Northwestern University, the International Horn Competition of America and the International Double Reed Society. Dr. Lin joined the keyboard department faculty at the University of Colorado Boulder in the fall of 2011. Outside of the University, she is heard frequently in her home state of Colorado. She performs regularly with the Colorado Symphony and chamber series with members of Colorado Symphony, faculty of University of Denver and Takács String Quartet. Since 2016, she joined the Colorado Symphony Chorus as their rehearsal pianist. Her live performances can also be heard on Colorado Public Radio.
Dr. Lin received her Doctor of Music Degrees in Piano Performance and Collaborative Arts at Northwestern University under the guidance of Dr. James Giles and Dr. Elizabeth Buccheri; additionally, she holds Degrees from the New England Conservatory and DePaul University where she studied with Victor Rosenbaum, Irma Vallecillo and Eteri Andjaparidze. Her other musical influences include Masuko Ushioda, Ilya Kaler, Laurence Lesser, Paul Katz, Hans Jensen, Anne Epperson, Jonathan Feldman, Lydia Artymiw, and Bernadene Blaha.
